Opened in 1985, Mease Countryside Hospital is the fastest-growing hospital in Pinellas County. Mease Countryside is a recognized leader in making world-class health care readily available to local residents.

And they're just beginning. They've just completed a new 145,000 square foot medical office building. And, within the next year, a five-story addition to the hospital will be completed. Mease Countryside continues to plan for and respond to the growing health care needs of our community.

The director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center, Jerome Ladous, made sure that Dr. Deupree had state-of-the-art surgical instrumentation at his fingertips.  This includes the most advanced vitrectomy machines.  The Bausch & Lomb Millennium has a host of features that optimize the surgical procedure and their outcomes.  One of these innovations is the ultra-small 25 gauge sutureless vitrectomy instrument and technique.  Dr. Deupree was one of the first few surgeons in the country to test and evaluate this equipment prior to production.  It is Dr. Deupree's belief that this has increased safety, allowed faster healing and has improved success in select cases.
